Pick a location you'll both enjoy. You will have many years together to travel to the other places on your individual bucket lists. Choose a honeymoon spot that's appealing to both of you. Will it be an exotic island in an overwater bungalow such as Bora Bora in the South Pacific, or the Maldives? There are many romanitic islands in the Caribbean, or maybe you would preferr Paris!

Create A Registry
For some couples, choosing the honeymoon location is the easiest part of their wedding planning! If you already know where your honeymoon spot will be, consider setting up a honeymoon registry so that your guests can put their cash gifts directly toward your trip. They'll love the fact that their gift is being put towards something you will both enjoy.
Pick A Date
Consult the calendar. A lot of couples are choosing to delay their honeymoon by a few months in order to vacation at a more suitable time of year. Jetting off to Jamaica after a summer wedding doesn't sound nearly as appealing as holding off for six months to enjoy a steamy, tropical honeymoon while everyone else is trapped in a blizzard.​
Organize Paperwork
Get your paperwork in order. Make sure all of the necessary travel documents you will need are in order. Don't wait until the last minute to renew your passport; give yourself six months to be on the safe side. If you'll be honeymooning right after the wedding, it's advisable for women to travel under their maiden names to avoid confusion. If you'll be changing your name, wait until you get back to do it.
